Terms of Service

Last Updated: September 7, 2026

Welcome to Code.Build. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Code.Build website, content, tutorials, courses, tools, software, community features, and other services we may provide (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using Code.Build, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

1. About Code.Build#

Code.Build provides educational content and resources related to software development, programming, artificial intelligence, application architecture, technical decision-making, and related topics.

Our content is intended to help users better understand, evaluate, build, and maintain software, including software created with or assisted by artificial intelligence.

Code.Build may add, remove, modify, or discontinue features or Services at any time.

2. Eligibility#

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Code.Build only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts#

Some features may require you to create an account.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account information current.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • Activity that occurs through your account;
  • Promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not share, sell, transfer, or provide access to your account in violation of these Terms or any applicable plan restrictions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Educational Purposes Only#

Content available through Code.Build is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

Software development involves technical, security, financial, operational, legal, and business risks. Information provided through Code.Build should not be treated as a substitute for professional advice specific to your circumstances.

You are responsible for evaluating whether any code, architecture, recommendation, configuration, or technique is appropriate for your particular project.

5. AI-Generated and AI-Assisted Content#

Code.Build may discuss, demonstrate, generate, analyze, or otherwise use artificial intelligence systems.

AI-generated output can be incorrect, incomplete, insecure, outdated, misleading, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.

You should independently review and test AI-generated code before using it in production or any important environment.

You are solely responsible for determining whether code or other output is appropriate for your intended use, including reviewing it for:

  • Security vulnerabilities;
  • Bugs and logical errors;
  • Privacy issues;
  • Licensing restrictions;
  • Intellectual property concerns;
  • Regulatory requirements;
  • Performance problems;
  • Compatibility with third-party systems.

Code.Build does not guarantee the accuracy, safety, reliability, originality, or fitness of AI-generated content.

6. No Guarantee of Results#

We do not guarantee that using Code.Build will result in any particular outcome.

For example, we do not guarantee that you will:

  • Become proficient in a particular technology;
  • Obtain employment;
  • Earn income;
  • Successfully launch a software product;
  • Improve the performance of a business;
  • Avoid software defects or security vulnerabilities;
  • Produce code that is suitable for production.

Your results depend on many factors outside our control.

7. User Responsibilities#

You agree to use Code.Build lawfully and responsibly.

You may not use the Services to:

  • Violate any law or regulation;
  • Infringe another person's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • Distribute malware or malicious code;
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Services;
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract substantial portions of the Services except as expressly permitted by us;
  • Circumvent access restrictions, subscriptions, or security measures;
  • Impersonate another person or organization;
  • Use the Services for fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive activity.

We may restrict or terminate access if we reasonably believe the Services are being misused.

8. Code and Technical Examples#

Code samples, configuration examples, commands, database queries, architecture examples, and other technical materials may require modification before they are suitable for your environment.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, examples are provided on an "as is" basis.

You are responsible for testing software before deploying it.

You should maintain appropriate backups, source control, security practices, testing procedures, and recovery systems.

Code.Build is not responsible for data loss, downtime, security incidents, system failures, or other damages resulting from your implementation or use of code or techniques discussed through the Services.

9. Intellectual Property#

Unless otherwise stated, Code.Build and its licensors own the Services and the original content made available through them, including text, graphics, branding, design, tutorials, course materials, videos, software, and other materials.

These materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, Code.Build grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal or internal business purposes.

Unless we expressly authorize it, you may not:

  • Republish substantial portions of our content;
  • Resell or sublicense our content;
  • Distribute paid course materials;
  • Create competing products primarily by copying our content;
  • Remove copyright, trademark, or attribution notices;
  • Use Code.Build branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation.

10. Code Examples and Reuse#

Unless a specific license states otherwise, short code examples published as part of educational materials may be adapted and used in your own projects.

This permission does not give you the right to reproduce or redistribute entire tutorials, courses, downloadable resources, applications, or collections of Code.Build content.

Third-party software shown or referenced through Code.Build remains subject to its respective license terms.

11. User Content#

The Services may allow you to submit comments, questions, code, messages, files, reviews, or other material ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content through public or community portions of the Services, you grant Code.Build a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the Services.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit your User Content.

You may not submit confidential information, proprietary source code, personal information, or other material unless you have the authority to do so.

12. Purchases and Paid Services#

Certain Services may require payment, including courses, memberships, subscriptions, downloads, or other products.

Prices and features may change from time to time.

Before completing a purchase, you are responsible for reviewing the applicable pricing, billing frequency, product description, and refund terms.

You agree to provide valid and accurate billing information.

If you purchase a recurring subscription, you authorize us or our payment processor to charge the applicable subscription fee until the subscription is canceled.

13. Subscriptions and Cancellation#

If we offer recurring subscriptions, your subscription may automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it before the renewal date.

You may cancel your subscription using the cancellation method made available through your account or otherwise provided by Code.Build.

Cancellation generally prevents future renewal charges but does not automatically result in a refund for amounts already paid.

Any specific refund policy presented at the time of purchase will control if it differs from these Terms.

14. Refunds#

Except where required by law or expressly stated in a specific offer, purchase, or refund policy, payments are non-refundable once access to digital content or Services has been provided.

We may choose to issue refunds or credits at our discretion.

Issuing a refund in one situation does not require us to issue refunds in similar situations.

15. Third-Party Services#

Code.Build may reference, integrate with, link to, or provide examples involving third-party products and services.

These may include hosting platforms, databases, AI providers, software libraries, payment processors, development tools, APIs, or other services.

We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their:

  • Availability;
  • Security;
  • Pricing;
  • Privacy practices;
  • Terms;
  • Accuracy;
  • Functionality;
  • Changes or discontinuation.

Your use of third-party services is governed by the terms and policies of those providers.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites.

Providing a link does not necessarily mean that Code.Build endorses or controls the linked website.

You access third-party websites at your own risk.

17. Availability and Changes#

We try to keep Code.Build available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, third-party outages, security incidents, upgrades, or circumstances outside our control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties#

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CODE.BUILD AND THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."

WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND AVAILABILITY.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

19. Limitation of Liability#

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CODE.BUILD AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

THIS INCLUDES DAMAGES ARISING FROM:

  • LOST PROFITS;
  • LOST REVENUE;
  • LOST DATA;
  • BUSINESS INTERRUPTION;
  • SECURITY INCIDENTS;
  • SOFTWARE FAILURES;
  • LOSS OF GOODWILL;
  • RELIANCE ON CONTENT OR CODE PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

  1. THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CODE.BUILD DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR
  2. $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

20. Indemnification#

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Code.Build and its owners, affiliates, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Services;
  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your violation of applicable law;
  • Your infringement of another person's rights;
  • Software, products, or services you create using information obtained through Code.Build.

21. Suspension and Termination#

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services if:

  • You violate these Terms;
  • Your use creates security or legal risks;
  • Payment is overdue;
  • We are required to do so by law;
  • We discontinue the applicable Service.

You may stop using Code.Build at any time.

Sections of these Terms that logically should survive termination will continue to apply, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.

If you believe content available through Code.Build infringes your copyright, please contact us with sufficient information to identify:

  • The copyrighted work;
  • The allegedly infringing material;
  • Your contact information;
  • The basis for your claim.

We may remove allegedly infringing material when appropriate.

23. Privacy#

Your use of Code.Build is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information relating to users of the Services.

24. Changes to These Terms#

We may update these Terms periodically.

When we make changes, we may update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

For material changes, we may provide additional notice where required or appropriate.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

25. Governing Law#

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Louisiana.

You consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

26. Severability#

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

The invalid or unenforceable provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where permitted by law.

27. No Waiver#

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.

28. Entire Agreement#

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented in connection with particular Services or purchases, constitute the agreement between you and Code.Build regarding your use of the Services.

29. Contact#
